Software Engineer (Python)

We're on a mission to accelerate science, and our platform is transforming how technology gets to market. Resolute is the leading marketplace for patents, inventions, and technology, offering powerful AI-driven tools to aid in discovery. Our software annotates hundreds of millions of scientific documents from around the world, then cuts through them in milliseconds to deliver actionable insights to our users.

We're looking to bring on experienced engineers who have fresh ideas from all areas, including information retrieval, distributed computing, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, and UI design. There is a lot to do, no red tape, and no limit to the impact you can have.

Skills & Requirements

Some requirements:

  • BS in computer science (or equivalent)
  • Expertise in Python and Linux
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Deep, insatiable passion for finding simple solutions to complex problems

And at least a few of:

  • Lucene/Elasticsearch/Solr
  • AWS - EC2, S3, Elastic everything
  • A modern web framework - Angular, React, or similar
  • Visualization libraries - D3, C3, Plotly
  • A relational database - MySQL, PostgreSQL
  • NLP - nltk, gensim
  • ML - scikit-learn
  • Deep learning - a la word2vec
  • Previous startup experience
