Python / AWS Developer (Contractor)

Location: Office is located in Austin, TX. Preference to have someone who is available for in person client meetings, but remote work available.
Engagement: We are looking for a contract Python developer with AWS expertise for an ongoing project.
Start date: Looking to fill role by May 4th, 2018.
Opportunity: We’re looking for a Python developer who feels comfortable diving into some lengthy code on an exciting and challenging in-flight project involving hardware, Amazon Web Services, and app integrations for a consumer facing product. You'll be working hands-on with an IoT hardware product, building and maintaining a scaleable backend for a live user base, and strategizing directly with product owners to build new features. Familiarity working with Python’s package manager is a must as we’re using pure Python (no framework like Django).
Compensation: Hourly rate dependent on experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
*Collaborating with client, third party, and internal teams to develop, test, and debug software of varying complexity
*Agile process participation including meetings, regular reports, and updates
*Maintain customer and internal documentation and standards
*Production support
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
*10+ years experience with Python
*Thorough knowledge of:
*AWS Services (Lambda, API Gateway, Cognito, DynamoDB, and S3)
*OneSignal
*Mixpanel
*SOAP API utilization (Magento integration)
*Strong communication skills
*Capable of working unsupervised, self-starter
*Bonus Skills: Hardware knowledge
