Experienced Python Developer - Digital Healthcare
We are looking for a Python Developer responsible for managing the interchange of data between the server and the users. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic for our digital health platform, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from customer-facing mobile applications. Your work will support data-driven decisions and insights gleaned from our patient population data store, deliver a personalized patient experience, and will impact the lives of real-world patients dealing with chronic health conditions.
The ideal candidate:
- Highly experienced in server-side programming, with multiple successful projects demonstrating proficiency.
- Able to take high level requirements and break them down into a project with tasks and milestones
- Self-managing, self-motivated, able to meet objectives with minimal day to day management
- A go-getter who takes initiative
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and creative problem solving skills
- Aptitude for test-driven-design
Skills & Requirement
- Demonstrable 3 to 5 years experience with the following:
- Python 2.7+
- Google App Engine, AWS, or equivalent scalable cloud application environments
- Solid understanding of relational and object model databases for efficiently storing and querying large datasets.
- Understanding of multi-process, threading issues
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (svn, git)
- Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
Also Valuable:
- A basic understanding of front-end technologies including Angular, Javascript, HTML5, and CSS3
- Familiarity with data analytics tools
- Experience with Content Management systems and solutions
- Healthcare / EMR systems interfaces and standard protocols for data exchange
