Software Engineer (multiple openings)
Join our team to build a next-generation community management solution that clients already use to manage their communities all around the world.
Scope
The product team is in startup/growth mode so you will likely get to wear many different hats. The team is fully distributed and as a member of the team you are expected to:
- Take ownership of development projects to implement new features
- Collaborate with your colleagues on design and implementation
- Constructively participate in code reviews
- Help scale out our platform
- Support onboarding of new clients
- Always strive to help the team become better
Requirements
- Must live in the United States or Canada
- Excellent communication skills
- Work effectively on a distributed team
- Well-versed in effective software engineering practices
- Strong desire to learn and expand upon your technical foundations
- Fluency in Python/Django
- Experience with REST API design, implementation, usage
- Strong frontend development experience with modern Javascript frameworks, ideally React
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, templating
Preferred
- BS Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Strong experience in distributed software development teams
- Strong experience with tech startup environments
- Experience building large web applications
- Passion for startups and desire to become part of a startup success story
- Experience with automated testing
- Experience with the GitHub development flow and code reviews
