Deep Learning Benchmark Engineer

Mati aims at solving hard core computer vision problems in order to solve online identity. We are based out of San Francisco. Remote ok!

We are looking for the smartest, most innovative, problem-solving individuals who are ready to enable mobile devices to “see”. We put emphasis on energetic personalities with a keen interest in computer vision and deep learning techniques, specifically for mobile architectures – If you’re enthusiastic about Computer Vision/deep learning, we’d love to hear from you!

ROLE

In this role, you would be in charge of thinking, designing and implementing Mati’s computer vision (deep leaning) benchmark pipelines, and running them on a day to day basis. This role requires someone passionate about engineering, computer vison, and that focuses on details!

One of the main output that you will get from this internship will be to understand what it is to take deep learning models to production, but also understanding what Convolutional Neural Networks are computing behind the hood.

BACKGROUND

- Master in Python
- Interest in deep learning (experience appreciated but not needed)
- Understand regular computer vision + machine learning techniques

WORK : DEEP LEARNING BENCHMARK ENGINEER

Your main goal will be to improve and run our deep learning benchmark pipelines. Some of your tasks will be to:

- From the current data/benchmark, understand the different real life scenarios (different lightnings, backgrounds, multiple people, etc...)
- Perform clustering on these scenarios
- Build a dataset of these scenarios
- Train and validate new models on these different scenarios
- Work with the research team to understand how to tune the models to get better results. Your job also includes tuning the models!
