Senior Backend Engineer - 100% REMOTE

This position is 100% remote. As a Backend Engineer, some of your responsibilities will include exposing the company's unified data warehouse API to the world, creating a metric notification system (e.g. push out-of-stock alerts to Zapier), and building a portal to allow users to monitor the health of their data sources.
 

Stack:

  • App: Isomorphic JS / TS, Lerna, SQL
  • Data: PySpark, OLAP SQL
  • Infra: AWS, GCP, Docker, K8s
     

Requirements:

  • Must have a time zone anywhere between UTC-8 (San Francisco) - UTC-3 (Buenos Aires)
  • 3+ years of experience with Python 
  • Familiar with SQL and data modeling
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and can get things done, even at times with minimal direction.
  • Passionate about eliminating technical debt
     

Bonus Points:

  • Familiar with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP
  • Experience and familiarity with Node.js
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM (or equivalent)
