Software Engineer - Full Stack
We're an ambitious California-based technology startup whose goal is to empower people to make more informed decisions using data. Our algorithms automatically analyze organizational data as a data scientist would and produce beautiful, personally relevant insights around meaningful discoveries. Our insights enable organizations to make smarter decisions at every level of their business.
We’re currently looking for engineers to work across the stack from visualization to distributed query processing, and ranking/relevance of the insights we produce. Help visualize data in simple and elegant ways while ensuring our data ingest and analysis handles terabytes of data.
Most of our code is written in JavaScript ES6 or Python 3. Our frontend is written in React and utilizes Tailwind CSS. Our backend is based on Express. We use PostgreSQL to store data, and AWS to process it.
What you’ll accomplish:
- Ship numerous business-critical features
- Algorithm development and optimization
- Cultivate your design skills and transform mocks into working prototypes
- Deploy and scale Sphere's dashboard over our cloud infrastructure
- Shape the engineering culture and mentor new engineers as our small, dynamic team grows
What you’ll need to be successful:
- Experience building modern web applications
- Experience with backend application architecture and data management
- Solid computer science fundamentals
- Fluency in React
- Fluency in Tailwind CSS
- Fluency in Node
- Fluency in Python
Nice to haves:
- Experience with applied machine learning
