Python Software Engineer
We are looking for a Software Engineer who loves to program in Python and is interested in instrumentation and data analysis. This Python engineer will work closely with our R&D team of scientists and continue to build our instrumentation and experimentation platform that is at the core of our custom electrochemical test equipment.
In this position you would develop maintain, and enhance our R&D tools and analysis software. Additionally you would work with the R&D team to define what future tools will look like, distilling their needs into sensible software requirements.

Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Several years of Python experience; the ability to dive into an existing code base and come up to speed quickly on how it works
- Some amount of familiarity with interfacing with databases (we currently use SQLAlchemy on top of a MySQL DB)
- Experience with designing GUI front ends (our current tools are PyQt based)
- Familiarity with Git, agile development, and TDD
We prefer someone based in the SF Bay Area but are willing to work with good candidates throughout the US who can travel here regularly.
