Senior Django Developer for Y Combinator-backed EdTech Company
Nimble is a data science company using predictive analytics to give every K-12 student access to excellent teachers. Our smart applicant tracking system uses machine learning to help school districts identify the best teacher talent before they make a hiring decision.
We’re seeking a part-time Django developer, who also has a strong DevOps background (Docker, Heroku). The preferred engagement is a minimum of 3 months, at approximately 10 hours per week, with the possibility of working more weekly hours and/or extending beyond the 3-month period.
What you'll be helping with:
-Site speed: we're growing quickly and our load times are slowing down. Help with refactoring our Django querying and implementing new technology (we're thinking Redis but open to ideas) to speed things up. -Make improvements to our Docker setup. -Work with other engineers on backend and devops challenges.
