Summary

I'm an Electronic Engineer currently interested in artificial intelligence related problems (using Fuzzy Systems, Neural Networks, regression & classification, computer vision, pattern recognition, object detection). I'm also looking for problems related to software and hardware design (IoT, Embedded Systems, Analog and Digital Circuit Design, SCADA software, GUI development, Web interface design).

I'm currently expanding my toolbox with Data science tools like: Pandas, Dask, KNIME, Seaborn, and Pyspark.

Experience

On my undergraduate project I worked with: Theoretical and experimental study of interval type-2 fuzzy sets defuzzification methods. The topics involved were: Interval Type 2 Fuzzy Logic System theory, numerical analysis, convergence analysis, algorithm analysis and factorial design of experiments. I used three programming languages in that work: C for the low level algorithms, Python for the logic of the experiments, and R for the statistical analysis.

I'm been working on my own as a freelancer, I developed GUI Python interfaces for two programs: The first was a Qt Pyside GUI for a statistics program developed by a forecasting research group, I did the GUI, the program installer, and the dynamics for easy user updates. The second was a Qt Pyside GUI too, the program consisted in synchronization of a video, latitude & longitude & elevation readings, and a live Leaflet map. Other software developments that I made was: Two small web pages using Python, Django, JavaScript, HTML5, PostgreSQL and PHP. I have web scrapping experience too, I used selenium and Python to generate statistics for academic activity (publications and conferences) of a university research group.

I'm been working in industry as a freelancer too. Mainly in the configuration, set up and fine tuning of Load Sharing & Synchronizing Control Modules for Gen sets systems (using Deep Sea Electronics and ComAP modules). That includes: Design of the power and control circuits, modules election, configuration, SCADA deployment, sensor calibration, communications networks deployment and configuration (MODBUS TCP), and user assistance.

Also I have background to work with several embedded systems like: Tiva C Series TM4C1294, BeagleBone Black, Raspberry Pi, and recently I acquired a NVIDIA Jetson nano for CUDA C development.

Others tools and software that I can use are: Matlab, R, GNU Toolchain for Embedded Processors, Ngspice (electronics simulation), and KiCad (for PCB design).

I'm almost forget to say that I am a GNU Linux user since the last 8 years!
