John Kenneth Rubio

Data Science Engineer

Quezon City, Philippines

Summary

I am a graduate from the Instrumentation Physics Laboratory in the University of the Philippines, Diliman Campus. I worked on a research regarding the transmission dynamics of diseases using numerical simulations of complex networks and compartmental models.

I am currently a data science engineer at Wave Computing, Inc., the Philippines' AI Center of Excellence, working on numerous computer vision models from different frameworks for various use cases, such as security, retail, and document digitization. I design end-to-end training and inference pipelines of various computer vision models for security, retail, and document digitization. I developed a patentable automatic annotation tool for data collection and preparation for object detection models. I also developed a Kafka and Zookeeper cluster to scale up deployment of our object detection and visual sentiment analysis system.
