My name is Marta and I have studied Applied Mathematics and Computation in Instituto Superior Técnico, Lisbon.
Currently, I’m working in a fin-tech start up. The main goal is to develop investment strategies and economical models using data analysis and statistics. I have implemented and tuned Machine Learning algorithms including linear regression, decision tree based algorithms, SVM and others. I have also done news and social media sentiment analysis using Natural Language Processing techniques. For all these tasks, I had to pay attention to data processing and cleaning and optimization of the code performance.
