Engineering

While I focus mainly on Python, Go, and a few others for my personal projects; professionally my work also includes Microsoft .NET, Java, Ruby, and more. From TensorFlow through to MLlib and scikit-learn, I have also been working extensively on classification, regression, clustering, and more.

Architecture

I lead teams and change through proven architectures that are scalable and robust. With a long history in designing solutions for global names in technology, I have delivered cloud based architectures for more than 320 million users, and now focus on containers and serverless approaches.

Security

I have studied cryptography with Stanford University and Cyber Security at Deakin University. I am a Member of the Technical Committee on Security and Privacy for the IEEE, and a life member of the Open Web Application Security Project and Electronic Frontiers Australia.

Experience

Software engineer for 20+ years with 10 focused on Python.

After beginning my career as a software engineer, I furthered my technology interests with a focus on architecture and security. I delivered my first hybrid cloud solution in late 2006 and continued on to become certified in AWS and Google Cloud.

My security and privacy interest remains at the fore and I am a Member of the Technical Committee on Security and Privacy for the IEEE, and a life member of the Open Web Application Security Project and Electronic Frontiers Australia. I am trained in Cyber Security and Cryptography.

Tasks performed include:

* Design, implement, and secure enterprise grade Cloud deployments including banking and finance industry.
* Giving leadership to the IT team and developing staff
* Driving change projects & building new IT capabilities
* Responsible for designing & implementing enterprise architecture & platforms required for multi/hybrid cloud
* Deep understanding of system development in cloud environments, including Software as Service (SaaS), Platform as Service (PaaS), and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
