Technical Support Engineer (Python & Django)

After creating custom payment systems in-house at previous companies and realizing the pain of keeping these ad-hoc solutions up to date, we started asking how other businesses were handling their business-to-business payment needs.

We spent 9 months conducting over 300 customer development interviews and came up with a framework to build the simplest way to send and receive B2B payments. Almost three years later, we have a product that we are proud of and a healthy list of happy customers, but we are really just getting started.

🔌Technical Support at Routable
Being our first technical support engineer at Routable, we’re looking for someone who is technically-savvy, and driven to create amazing experiences for our customers. You would work directly with our customers and our sales, support, and engineering teams to help improve our product. It’s a unique chance to be an advocate for our customers and help improve our incredible product.

🔍Key Areas of Focus
• Become an in-house product expert and champion, supporting our sales, and support teams to ensure our customers’ issues are resolved
• Pair with our engineering team to resolve escalated customer issues

• You are interested in setting direction for the team and helping guide our engineering vision

💻Need to have:
• 3+ years of experience as a technical support engineer (w/ SaaS is a plus!)
• 3+ years of experience with web applications, REST APIs, Data Integrations or Connectors
• 3+ years experience with Python and Django
• Ability to empathize and effectively communicate with our customers to help diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues
• High attention to detail

➕Nice to have:
• Experience with one of the following: Django, HTML, PostgreSQL, ReactJS, or Redux
• Understanding of payment platforms (ACH, Check, Credit-card, etc.)
