Sr Python Backend Engineer

Our team is remote throughout the continental United States. However, we have offices in Salt Lake City, UT and Austin, TX. In joining our team, you will work with those who carry a deep background and experience growing a product that defines how employees use social media platforms at work.

WHY YOU’RE SO COOL
You understand how to scale and what it takes to implement native apps to do so. You are excited about writing fast, test-driven, clean, and reusable code.
We run on AWS, using Serverless and Appsync GraphQL, so having experience with this technology or a good grasp of these concepts is required.
WHAT YOU OFFER US
- Own relationships with other engineering teams and work with other parts of the organization
- Design, build and maintain systems
- Debug production services across our stack
- Contribute to improving engineering standards, tooling and processes
- Mentor engineers, both senior and junior
- Architect important systems and plan for scaling-related challenges
- Lead by example, which includes writing clean, well tested and maintainable code
- Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with Python
- Deep understanding of CS fundamentals
- Experience with AWS services e.g. GraphQL, AppSync, Lambda, Cognito, Dynamo, etc.
- Deep understanding of API design and data modeling
