Junior Django Developer (Part-time)
One Inch Round & Badge Bomb are seeking a junior developer with Django experience to support their Ecommerce operations. Both stores currently run their e-commerce operations on the Shopify platform, but are supported by custom order managements systems (powered by Django) providing functionality tailored specifically to the operations of OIR and BB.
Your Role
----
As a junior Django developer, you’ll be working on these two order management systems, adding new features and maintaining existing ones. You’ll have the opportunity to work in lots of different parts of the development stack, from customer-facing front ends to admin backends and server deployments.
Along the way, you’ll be guided by our senior development partners, Disco Labs, who’ll be on-hand to provide detailed information about architecture, deployment, and implementation. As you develop experience with the systems, you’ll have the opportunity to “level up” and start designing and driving new feature implementation.
Core Requirements
--------
• Experience developing web applications in Django and/or Python;
• Experience working with HTML, CSS and Javascript to develop front end interfaces.
Nice to Haves
--------
• Some experience in Devops (maintaining and deploying Django applications to a server using nginx and uwsgi);
• Prior experience in the Ecommerce or retail industries, whether as a developer, marketer, store owner, et cetera.
Compensation options include hourly W2 employee, or hourly / retainer 1099 freelancer. Priority consideration given to locals (you can work on site in our beautiful showroom).
