At Dataquest, we're self-taught programmers and data scientists on a mission to help anyone, anywhere, make the same journey we did. We help students go from zero programming knowledge to data science jobs at companies like Fitbit, SpaceX, and 3M.
We do this by combining an in-browser coding experience with open-ended projects and a strong community. After finishing our curriculum, students understand data science concepts, and have a strong portfolio to demonstrate their skills.
As a data scientist, you'll be responsible for expanding what we teach. This involves creating content that teaches students how to understand and apply tricky concepts by breaking them down into easy-to-digest bits.
You'll have wide latitude to experiment with new teaching approaches, from collaborative work to real-time feedback systems. We're looking for someone with strong opinions about the future of education, who can contribute to our overall vision.
Ideally, you'll have experience across the data science stack, ranging from data analysis to data pipelines. For this role, we're looking for someone who's stronger on the data engineering side, and understands distributed systems and tools like Spark well. We'd prefer someone who's blogged or otherwise written about these topics. If you have, please include links when you apply!
