Backend Engineer

At Enigma, we are fans of crypto-currencies and we believe crypto-currencies are here to stay. Crypto is still a nascent market, which offers a lot of potential. We want to empower the community by providing tools that enable development of winning investment strategies. We are building Catalyst, an algorithmic trading platform that empowers anyone to build their own crypto hedge fund and participate in the coming Renaissance of financial ecosystems. We are looking for experienced software engineers to join us in achieving our vision. Are you up for the challenge?

We’re looking for full-time engineers for our core infrastructure technology and main applications. You will be part of the core team of an early-stage startup looking to release a product ASAP. You will have a lot of responsibility and ownership in the direction of the product. You should be passionate and dedicated to create.

Location: Bay Area preferred, remote is OK

Requirements:
• Fast-paced self-learner who is excited about learning new things
• 4+ years of development experience in Python
• DevOps/FullStack knowledge – AWS, Docker, CI tools
• Experienced in designing large-scale software architecture
• Familiarity with data analysis frameworks – Pandas, Blaze and preferably with distributed big data systems such as Spark, Hadoop
• Obsessive with writing clean code
• Passionate about designing, building, and shipping mind-blowing products

Would be awesome if you have:
• A passion for decentralization, open source software, and the blockchain (a big plus)
• Experience in machine learning/optimization algorithms is a big plus
• Knowledge of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies (a big plus)
• Working understanding of cryptographic principles (e.g., encryption, digital signatures)
• Contributed to open source projects
• Working on quant-trading and building trading platforms

Compensation

  • $80K – $110K
  • 0.1% – 1.0%
