Sr. Software Engineer (Python Django)
Aiva is a technology enabled lead qualification platform for real estate agents. We have grown tremendously over the last six months and need help scaling our platform to manage more than 1,000,000 conversations per month.
We’re looking for an experienced Python Django web developer to join our engineering team.
The ideal candidate should have a track record of success in digital campaign management, lead generation, content marketing, graphic design, and a strong desire to win.
Responsibilities:
Plan and implement new features and functionality in collaboration with our customer facing staff
Write and maintain high quality code that is well tested can scale to manage millions of chats a month
Responsible for monitoring and optimizing our application to improve performance and scalability
Collaborate with our support staff to resolve bugs and investiate potential issues within our system
Work with partners to integrate our platform with their REST APIs
Requirements:
3+ years of professional experience building and managing web applications in Python Django or equivalent
Experience with deployment frameworks such as Fabric, Ansible, Capistrano, etc.
Experience following Git best practices and working with the Github development workflow
Strong knowledge and understanding of how REST APIs work and experience designing APIs
Experience with technical project platforms such as JIRA or Pivotal Tracker
Experience deploying and managing applications within Amazon Web Services
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work independently and in groups composed of both technical and non-technical staff
Must be comfortable communicating directly with customers via email, chat, and phone if needed to help resolve customer issues
